Meet Hayden

Hi, I’m Hayden.

I’m the heart behind Our Forest Oasis, and the hands that tend the gardens, fruit trees, herbs, and woodland paths that make this place what it is. After years of public service, I found my way back to the kind of life that feels most natural to me — one rooted in soil, stewardship, and the quiet rhythms of rural Virginia.

I spend my days caring for the land: planting, pruning, harvesting, and nurturing the small ecosystem that thrives here. Our gardens and orchard produce fruits, vegetables, herbs, and flowers that I share with family, friends, and neighbors. Nothing here is commercial — it’s simply the joy of growing things and giving them away.

I also love creating with my hands. When I’m not in the garden, you’ll often find me making candles, soaps, or small handcrafted gifts, or wandering the property with my camera, trying to capture the way the light moves through the trees.

Over time, people began asking if they could spend time here — to walk the gardens, enjoy the quiet, or celebrate life’s small and meaningful moments under the canopy of the forest. That gentle interest grew into what we now offer: a peaceful, low‑impact outdoor setting for intimate gatherings, always shaped around the land rather than imposed upon it.

Everything we host is simple, seasonal, and grounded in the natural beauty of this place. No new buildings, no paving, no loud equipment — just the gardens, the trees, and the open sky.

This land is my home, my sanctuary, and my ongoing project of love. I’m grateful to share it in small ways with people who appreciate the same sense of peace and connection that drew me here in the first place.
